How to get over Imposter Syndrome
As per Wikipedia’s description, Imposter syndrome is an inability to internalize your accomplishments and a persistent fear of being exposed as “fraud”. Despite external evidence of your competence, those exhibiting the syndrome remain convinced that they are frauds and do not deserve the success they have achieved. Proof of success is dismissed as luck, timing, or as a result of deceiving others into thinking they are more intelligent and competent than they believe themselves to be. Some studies suggest that impostor syndrome is particularly common among high-achieving women
Imposter syndrome is something many of us suffer with. Its that feeling that you a fraud despite your success and don’t deserve to be high fived for your achievements.
Imposter syndrome makes us feel like we are getting away with things and that at some point, we will get found out
